No one wants to talk about it but everyone is doing it. Pooping shows a huge amount about your body. It can be awkward and a little embarrassing to talk about, but it needs to be prioritized first if you’re looking to optimise your health.
Anything less than a day not passing stool is considered constipated. That’s right, one day. Ideally you want a formed stool that is easy to pass and sinks to the bottom of the toilet bowl. There should be no pain or undigested food – except for sweetcorn, pumpkin seed and some fibrous stalks which don’t digest well unless milled. Pale coloured stools show problems with your bile or possible iron regulation. Your stool should be a copper brown colour.
Stools that float, are sticky and require a lot of wiping shows that the body is not absorbing fats well. This could be caused by an underlying gallbladder issue. A possible solution for this could be taking a digestive enzyme with meals called lipase. Binders like @zeolitelabs are critical for binding metabolic waste, histamine, heavy metals, ammonia etc and bringing them out of the body. My discount code and zeocharge are linked in my bio.
When the liver works optimally, you should pass stool after most meals. You don’t want waste sitting for days as the body reabsorbing the toxins. Pooping is the best way to detoxify the body!
Your children are likely to have the same stool habits as you. It is important to keep an eye on their bowl movements and have open conversations about their health, especially as they get older. If you can sort your child’s IBS out when they are tweens/teenagers, you are giving them a gift for life and their risk of developing acne or mental health issues are lowered.
